Adidas by Stella McCartney collaborated with London based lingerie stylist Monica Harrington to launch a post-mastectomy sports bra in honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The bra has been specially designed with unique features to provide utmost comfort to women post surgery.
The bra consists of a front zipper to provide ease of dressing and hidden sewn pockets for prostheses. The campaign for post mastectomy bra features a British boxer and breast cancer survivor, Michele Aboro. According to Michele, after her mastectomy she started to lose belief in herself and how her body would react.
“When I was ready to get back into fitness, I couldn’t find a sports bra that didn’t require being pulled over my head or lacked in support. Now I wear the Post-Mastectomy Sports Bra every time I train, it is comfortable and supportive and has helped me build back my confidence to get back into the game,” adds Michele.
