Flipkart, one of India’s biggest home-grown e-commerce portals, is facing the heat once again.
One of the biggest reasons consumers are flocking from brick-and-mortar stores to e-commerce websites is the substantial discounts that the latter offer. Online shopping invariably involves viewing a number of pictures for a customer.
On the other hand, the same applies for the online retailer in terms of putting up pictures. One of the products on the site had a picture that made the original price visible on it. The page suggested that Flipkart was offering a 50% discount, whereas it was the exact price of the product. Mani Sankar Sen, a resident of Kolkata, put the post that has now gone viral. Sen, took another step and highlighted the blunder committed by Flipkart.
