Leading manufacturer of casual apparels – HanesBrands Inc. makes it big by seizing a position in the ‘500 largest US industrial corporations’ list by Fortune. “Hanes ranks no. 490 on the list of largest American public companies by revenue published in the Fortune magazine,” HanesBrands informed in a press release.
This was a remarkable feat after the company got added to the S&P 500 stock market index this March. The index reflects the US economy through leading large-cap companies in leading industries. Exemplarily , Hanes was one of just five apparel companies on the Fortune 500. Hanes made it to the list after posting record sales of $5.32 billion in 2014, up 15 per cent over sales in 2013. It was ranked no. 341 for profit and ranked no. 211 for profit as a percentage of sales by Fortune magazine.
