Mumbai based online lingerie company PrettySecrets is all set to distribute their products to retailers pan-India through their online B2B platform psretailer.com

This new website is created on similar lines as PrettySecrets.com except you can make purchase of products in bulk for as many pieces as required at one go, keeping the process the same as PrettySecrets.com or any other ecommerce portal. Once the order has been placed, the products are packed and shipped within 48 hours of receiving the order. You will receive your shipment within 4-7 days.infographic

To start stocking PrettySecrets products, all you have to do is register by logging on to www.psretailer.com, enter your information such as: Name, Store Name, Address, Store Size, etc and send in your enquiry. PrettySecrets will then assign a credit limit to your account based on their due diligence process and your account will be created which will enable you to start browsing and make your purchases.  Then there’s shipping. For regular 4-7 day shipping there is no charge, but if you avail for express shipping that takes 24-48 hours of shipping time, there will be standard shipment charges.  The product range available on PrettySecrets.com and psretailer.com will remain the same. With their e-commerce expertise and technological skills they’re executing extremely well in this new channel with 15 retailers across Delhi & Punjab already stocking their product. The strength lies in merging their online and offline inventories for distribution. By doing this, they are able to promise a fulfilment rate of 98% as against 65% which is the norm in offline retail at the moment.

Today the Indian lingerie industry is massive of which only 1%-1.5% percent being serviced online. Even though its growing at over 40%, online retailing in 10 years  will still only be 10% of the entire lingerie industry. So the major market will still remain offline. PrettySecrets has gone offline three years after launch because  they wanted to perfect their online efficiency and then replicate these efficencies offline. As you probably know, the current supply chain involves manufacturers, brands, distributors, wholesalers, agents, salesmen and then finally the retailers.  PrettySecrets are not moving through this traditional format and by removing the layer of distributors, wholesalers & agents, they are dealing directly with the retailer.

While old-school retailers are often many steps away from the customer, e-commerce start-ups know their customer: who he or she is, what they like, where they shop, and how they shop. Often working within open offices, a start-up’s customer experience team is often just a few seats – not floors – away from the retail team.

In addition to cost savings, the opportunity to build deeper advocates in person, the marketing that comes along with a storefront and the “halo” effects of retail. All of these factors are hugely beneficial to e-commerce companies as they continue to scale both online and offline.

Distribution companies are able to purchase or obtain rights to market products from the manufacturer and sell them to retailers that use or sell the merchandise. Starting an online distribution business allows a person to build efficiencies for retailers by keeping minimal overhead for his company.
