The producers of Italian Textile Machinery experience a growth in foreign market as the demand for them increased by 8% in the first quarter of 2015. The outcomes was 17% raise in Italy’s export of the machinery. The Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) said that the seen improvement is on behalf of the weaker euro against the dollar and some local currencies.
Thanks to a positive performance in foreign markets, the total value of orders placed during the period from January to March soared to 87.3 points (base year 2010=100).Countries such as India, U.S., Turkey and other Asian countries have driven the rise in sale for Italian Machinery Manufacturers in the first quarter.
However, at the domestic level, the demand for the same has declined by 38%. Raffaella Carabelli, the President of ACIMIT, said in a statement that “Milano ITMA, the textile sector’s primary international trade fair, will be held this coming November. Many Italian textile industry operators are waiting for this event to look into the latest innovations, which will be presented at the event, so that they can plan their investments accordingly,” He thus justifies the huge decline in the domestic market.
The ITMA 2015 will present 420 Italian companies which is an increase of about 26%, compared to the previous edition held in Barcelona in 2011. The current figures show the confidence of Italian Business in the event, that it shall give the required boost to the domestic market and trigger recovery in the investments in Italy. The ACIMIT aims to enhance Italy’s position in ITMA 2015 as it seeks initiative support form Ministry for Economic Development and the ICE-Agency.
