The two global fibre companies, Lenzing and Hyosung have collaborated to launch a new ‘green’ collection at ISPO 2019. Lenzing’s Tencel Modal and Hyosung’s Creora spandex, which are the companies’ leading brands, will display the sustainable benefits of each, in the project.
Andreas Guertier, Head of Active & Outdoor Global Business Development for Lenzing AG said that the Lenzing and Hyosung association fits well under the slogan ‘Better Together’. New products for sports and leisure clothing with unrivalled sustainable credentials will be offered to customers due to the blend of natural softness, comfort and performance from Tencel and the power, fit and recovery of Creora spandex, he added.
Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, EMEA Marketing Director, Performance Textiles Business, Hyosung, said that they were delighted to partner with Lenzing with this innovative fabric collection to deliver a better performance with products, which use less energy and water and improved care for the environment that is the demand of consumers today. As the textile industry seeks creative and performance solutions throughout the value chain and to meet changing market dynamics, association was the way ahead, he added.
A softer touch, whiter whites, low heat setting to reduce energy consumption are the features of fabrics produced with Lenzing Ecovero and Creora eco-soft. Due to improved shaping and compression there’s great comfort offered in the garments made out of Tencel Modal and Creora Power Fit. Whereas, breathability and softness in an intense black, which eliminate the grin-through effect, are the features of Tencel Modal and Creora Black.
