Online lingerie major PrettySecrets is looking at doubling its retail presence across the country through exclusive stores and retail counters by the end of 2018.
The brand started with an online store in 2012 and has grown steadily and it has 23 exclusive stores at present and around 250 retail counters. Speaking about the expansion plans Mr Karan Behal, CEO and Founder, PrettySecrets said, “We have a strong base in metros due to our brand website prettysecrets.com and that makes it easier to move to metros. When it comes to Tier I and Tier II cities, our stores in places like Dhanbad and Imphal are amongst our top performing stores. This is why we are really looking forward to expanding to similar cities in the coming months.”
The reason for this move is also to offer a wholesome experience to people. “After the success of PrettySecrets.com, we wanted to go omni-channel to provide our customers a seamless shopping experience. Since, the intimate nature of the category requires a specific sales environment and sadly the unorganised market could not provide the right platform, we then started with two exclusive brand owned stores in Mumbai in April 2017,” says Mr Karan.
And, speaking about the manufacturing while catering to so many outlets he added, “We are considering vertical integration as an option; however, will need more time to finalise the plan.”
