He is the designer of the Milan Institute of Securities Milan Mattia Rainò the winner of the Link edition 2017, the prestigious competition that takes place in Cannes at the MarediModa fair. Mattia Rainò was the only Italian in the contest for the Intimate category, selected amongst all the most prestigious European fashion schools. The young Salentino designer presented the P / E 2018 collection of intimate women titled Bellezza Altra: a project that challenges the classic concept of beauty where imperfection becomes a distinctive element and symbol of non-stereotyped beauty.
Raino was judged yesterday, November 8, by industry experts and a jury popular according to the project’s usability criteria, innovation and real application, content research and enhancement of printed fabric.
In addition to winning the first prize of 1000 euros, he was selected for a training course in Parah. In July he will be able to make new creations in Florence at the Maredamare International Fair in Fortezza da Basso.
Mattia Rainò is a 24-year-old Salento designer born in Poggiardo and lives between Maglie and Milan. His great passion for fashion is very young. He has learnt basic self-taught techniques and with the help of family members working in the field. After graduating, he graduated from the Milan Polytechnic in Fashion Design. He then decided to specialize at the Istituto Secoli di Milano, attending the Masters in Modeling and Sewing of Underwear and Bridal Clothing. In November 2017, he came to the final and won the prestigious talent scouting the Link competition where he presented the P / E 2018 collection of intimate women titled Bellezza Altra: a project that challenges the classic concept of beauty where imperfection becomes an element a badge and symbol of a non-stereotyped beauty.
