The new collection is made with innovative technology designed to target some of the symptoms of menopause. Between hot flushes and sensitive skin, menopause can be an extremely draining time for those that experience it, and having the right clothes can make all the difference.

With this in mind, Penneys have crafted a range of sleepwear and underwear that has been designed to adapt to the menopausal body. Launching the collection, the fashion retailer said: “Going through menopause comes with many challenges and changes that can be tricky to navigate and control.
“Our innovative range has been created to help you feel cool, comfortable, and confident throughout. Affordable and accessible, our menopause range has been specially designed to address one of the most common symptoms of menopause, hot flushes.”

The retailer has said that its menopause range is made from “lightweight, soft-touch fabrics” that incorporate “clever technology to temperature regulate”. This is, the brand says, part of their “ongoing commitment to design products that support and empower women through every stage of life”.
The products work due to the “complex mix of yarns” which absorb heat from the skin during hot flushes. They also release warmth during the subsequent chill.

Additionally, the material “wicks away excess moisture” and “controls odour”. The range also has an anti-bacterial coating, which Penneys claims will leave the wearer feeling “fresh” and “dry” and ready for a good night’s sleep.

The collection consists of briefs, bralettes, shaping leggings, a nightdress, and pyjama sets, and they are all very reasonably priced. You can browse the collection on Penneys’ official website right here.

Penneys is no stranger to using innovative materials to align with women’s experiences. Last year, for instance, they introduced a range of period underwear, with prices starting at €7.
