Adidas Makes Way For India’s Largest Distribution Centre

To reinforce the commitment of the Indian arm, world renowned German company Adidas opened doors to their biggest distribution centre. The brand attempts to have a strong foothold in the Indian market and drive the business growth in the country.
Athletic footwear and sportswear major inaugurated ‘1 DC’ (one distribution centre), the largest centralised facility for sporting goods in India this February at Luhari near Delhi.
Spread over 260,000 sq ft, the warehouse facility of this centre will be managed by logistics giant DHL Supply Chain. This huge set up, distribution centre replaces the previous five centres that the company was operating in India so far.
The company mentioned on a positive note that seamlessly migrating and consolidating the Adidas and Reebok brands from five scattered locations to a single distribution centre will result in tremendous cost efficiency and flexibility to the supply chain operations of the Adidas Group.
This DC, the largest for any sports retailer in India, is part of Adidas’s plan for ‘creating the new’ approach that the brand is sure will enable them to draw more consumers, drive business growth and be better equipped to drive efficiency across the entire value chain. Adidas is confident that this centre will play a key role in helping the Adidas Group India to provide the best-in-class supply chain services to cater to a growing consumer order across the country.
