An anthology of floral nature and art- 1

This winter, Marie Jo cleverly returns to its roots. The Belgian fashion house places the sensual woman centre stage…a woman who is as sensitive as she is unshakeable. Marie Jo radiates the power of pure femininity as no other. The brand is inspired by the untarnished subtlety of the Nordic landscape. The emphasis is on natural materials, organic details and delicate floral designs.

This coming season, the Belgian lingerie label will bring together Scandinavian simplicity with the romance of lingerie in an interplay of contrasts. Natural elements are translated into unique floral designs in sheer Italian lace and French embroidery custom-developed for Marie Jo. The flower stands as a symbol for sophisticated femininity, which is powerful in its simplicity.

Marie Jo found its inspiration in Marie Delay, a brilliant artist from the 1970s who translated her passion for botanical gardens and the raw beauty of flowers into artistic collages. She highlighted colourful flowers against a dark, subdued background and started a new, innovative art form with her mixed-media collages. The collection also refers to the German glass artists Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka. This artistic duo garnered fame with their unique biological interpretations of sea plants and sea creatures. Natural elements are translated into unique floral designs in Italian and French lace custom-developed for Marie Jo.
