The chief product officer of e-commerce marketplace Snapdeal, Anand Chandrasekaran, has quit the company to start his own entrepreneurial venture.
Snapdeal’s co-founder Rohit Bansal confirmed the news on Twitter. “@anandc proud of the super work by you and the product team. Hard to believe that this was just 1 yr. Farewell, keep rocking!” he tweeted.
In reply Chandrasekaran said, “@rohitkbansal thanks for the support. We did in 1 what would take 3 years anywhere. Incredible passion @snapdeal. Best still to come!”
Chandrasekaran co-founded Aeroprise, a personalised mobile applications software company, which was acquired by BMC Software Inc. In 2011. Chandrasekaran joined Snapdeal in June 2015. Before this, he was with Bharti Airtel where he held the same post and led product strategy for music streaming service Wynk and Airtel Money.
