British brand Playful Promises recently turned 15 and on this special occasion they launched their new anniversary collection. The famous transgender actress Leyna Bloom is the face of this new line. The model and actress recently became the first transwoman of colour to star in a film at Cannes.
The limited edition collection comprises of three styles that include bras, panties and bodysuits with black lace, plunging necklines, garter belts, sparkles and lots of sheer fabric. This collection is available online as well on PlayfulPromises.com.
One of Bloom’s favourite is the off-white bodysuit covered in embroidered flower patterns sprinkled with touches of shiny sequins.
“Before it was a trend to be unique and to be different, Playful Promises was already celebrating women in all their shapes and sizes, colours and creeds,” Bloom said. She added, “Other brands are literally playing copycat; they are trying to get their money up.”
Emma Parker, founder and Chief Executive Officer, Playful Promises, said that the company works with a variety of models. “At some point in the future, hopefully, it won’t even be relevant whether they are trans or not,” Parker said. “It will just be a model.”
