Canadian swimsuit brand Swimco files for bankruptcy

Canadian swimsuit company Swimco has shut down all its stores and filed for bankruptcy. The company announced its closure after 45 years in business by stating “It’s time we say Sea You Later” on its website.

The company was founded in 1970 and had stores in Langely, Vancouver, North Van, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Richmond,

and on Vancouver Island in B.C.

The Swimco group, which comprises Swimco Aquatic Supplies and Swimco Partnership closed all it’s stored across Canada on October 10. The company had been in creditor protection since June.

The firm has also mentioned on its website that its retail stores will remain closed until further notice but online sales are still taking place. In addition, neither returns nor gift cards are being accepted any longer.
