The theme of sustainability has always been an important aspect for CIFRA, starting with their Zero Waste commitment and continuing with the Green Attitude project.
The current new project introduces sustainable and regenerated yarns made from Econyl® by Aquafil, a Nylon 6-fibre made with 100 per cent completely regenerated waste materials, which would otherwise end up in landfills or in the sea and Qnova® by Fulgar, a Nylon 6.6 recycled and sustainable fibre obtained from regenerated raw materials and produced by Fulgar according to the modern traceability criteria and requirements.
Another such projects introduces Starlight® by Radici, a yarn derived from post-consumption of PET bottles and Amni Soul Echo® by Fulgar, which will be a replacement of polyamide component in merino wool making the yarn biodegradable.
All these yarns will be combined with Eco Smart® by Roica elastomer, which lends a very high level of biodegradability to the fabrics.
