Hayley Hasselhof lead the protest by a bunch of plus size models who posed in skimpy lingerie to express lack of larger models in fashion shows and advertising. The photoshoot was held to support these women and also to encourage designers to use plus-size models on the ramp at the fashion week.
Donning black lace lingerie herself, Hayley looked stunning in her blonde hair, bronze smokey eyes, nude lips and ample cleavage on display. The 25-year-old actress, who is a size 18 strongly supports plus-size models and was there to celebrate women of all sizes, at the protest.
Sonny Turner (size 16) and Callie Thorpe (size 26), too were part of the protest organised by Simply Be, the plus-size retailer.
Hayley stated that it was important to campaign for body positivity and diversity in the industry and wish to encourage women of all sizes to be who they wish to be. She added that by tearing up the ‘one size fits all’ book in fashion, they want to motivate these women to feel great in their own skin.
