From July 20th to 22nd, in the evocative setting of the Fortezza da Basso in Florence, will be staged the twelfth edition of Maredamare, the Italian fair of beachwear. The key players are summer 2020 beachwear and accessories collections, presented in preview by the most famous specialised brands in the sector, from the global brands to the small research studios.
A complete and qualified proposal that every year makes this event unmissable not only for professionals, but also for buyers from the entire international fashion sector.
“It will be a unique and unforgettable edition”, emphasises Alessandro Legnaioli, the President of Maredamare. She further adds,”First of all, I want to point out the presence of the most important global brands that have chosen us to present the new collections together with a wide selection of new entries that, with their proposals, will give added value to our exhibition. Also, there are important news in the fair configuration. In the last twelve years, we have made our guests discover the most enchanting places in Florence by animating them with dedicated events and parties. This year, we play at home. It is an idea that comes from the uniqueness of the place that hosts us, the Fortezza da Basso, a location that few people know in depth. It was from here that the idea of a widespread event was born, aimed at revealing the most enchanted and hidden corners of this extraordinary site. Its secret rooms, the monumental area, the private accesses, the turrets with a view and the hidden passages. With the Fortezza 9am/12pm project, these wonderful and hidden areas will come alive, light up and show their most ancient intimacy to the public, starting at 06:30 pm. Finally, I want to emphasise that the Maredamare team has always been sensitive to environmental protection. This year, we decided to contribute to the protection of the Mediterranean species, adopting Futura and Ondina, two examples of Caretta caretta, through the Legambiente Tartalove project”.
Information and educational workshops, dedicated presentations and above all a first-class fashion show calendar are on schedule: collective, personal fashion shows.
The opening fashion show will be dedicated to the young designers of The Link competition.
