Lightweight, comfortable outwear does not always mean that you will begin feeling cold or shiver under harsh weather conditions. Now you can completely feel at ease and not freeze with lighter outerwear. And all because OROS has finally brought you a thin, warm performance apparel. And that too they are giving you more than you ask for. The entire outerwear line has been made possible by using the same insulation that NASA used in their space suits and space shuttles.
OROS a fairly new brand has quite meticulously devised these pieces of garment that are soon going to be ‘hot on demand’. The technology they are using is nothing but Aerogel. Aerogel Oros claims are the lowest thermal conductive solid on the planet. The best insulator in existence! The brand is presently using Solarcore Aerogel to line the garments thin and warming itself up for better market response. The company explains that they use a proprietary formulation of Aerogel called Solarcore. It is the first Aerogel suited for apparel with its incredible flexibility, hydrophobicity, durability, sound absorbency, and breath ability all while maintaining the incredible insulation that Aerogels are known for.
Oros funded its initial production of jackets through crowd funding platform Kickstarter, where it started with a goal of $100,000 and ended up raising $319,000. It’s turning back to Kickstarter to fund the production of the new line of apparel too, that includes gloves, beanie, snowpants etc.
