The UK based transgender fashion and beauty brand, GI (Get It) Collection launches a new underwear line specially designed for transgender kids.
The underwear range is designed by the company founder Carmen Liu who herself is a trans woman.
According to Carmen Liu, the range is targeted at young kids of transgender demographic to “feel like they belong within their own body at a young age.”
The brand will also launch one underwear range for trans girls, which will be designed by patented technology to cater to the unique needs of trans girls and their bodies.
According to the company, despite elements of progress over the last few years, transgender people are still shunned from the society and discriminated against unfairly. Everyone should be offered the basic right of unrestrictive clothing and transgender children are no exception. “While other brands design garments, which are ill-fitting and uncomfortable for transgender people, GI Collection produce revolutionary, fashionable item, which promotes body-confidence and high self-esteem,” the company adds.
