Canadian athletic apparel brand lululemon set to enter the Spanish market with two stores

Athletica label, Canada-based lululemon is set to expand its global presence and will be launching its first two stores in Spain soon. Madrid and Barcelona are the cities, where it will open its stores, at the same time launching a local e-commerce website.

In September this year, the brand will open an outlet in Calle Serrano, Madrid and Paseo de Gracia, Barcelona. While the e-commerce website, lululemon.es will be launched later this month. The brand will be introducing activewear and accessories for men and women for the first time in Spain.

Speaking on the entry in Spain, André Maestrini, lululemonathletica International Executive Vice-President, said, “As a brand, which supports wellbeing, lululemon has a strong synergy with the active, balanced lifestyle enjoyed in Spain.We’re looking forward to connecting with Spanish guests, through our website and at our first retail stores opening in Madrid and Barcelona.

The strength of our model across product innovation, guest experience, community and culture provide a unique advantage as we introduce lululemon to our newest market.”

The brand’s entry in Spain is in sync with its ‘Power of Three x2’ growth plan. This is the first entry into a new European market for lululemon since 2019.

Going by this plan, the brand aims to make around 412.5 billion in revenue, compared to $6.25 it hit in 2021. It also aims to quadruple its global revenues by applying this strategy.
