Indorama India Private Limited, known for its INVIYA® brand of spandex, has commenced commercial production at its third manufacturing facility in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
The new plant adds 25 MTs per day to its production capacity, bringing the total to 65 MTs per day. INVIYA® is a leader in providing functional solutions for high-end garments, accessories like elastics and tapes, and hygiene products such as diapers.
The company offers a range of spandex products, including INVIYA® (Semi-Dull), STOLID® (Full-Dull), ECOModa100TM (100% Recycled), and SnugFit® (Diaper grade). Indorama is the only company in the Indian subcontinent producing spandex for hygiene applications, available under the brand SnugFit®. ECOModa100™, introduced in January 2023, has been approved as a preferred recycled material by GAP Inc.
The company has invested in building strong technical capabilities, including an in-house polymer R&D facility and application development centers. INVIYA® is well-positioned for growth in the Indian textile sector with support from government initiatives like the PLI Scheme, PM Mitra Parks, and FTAs, along with efforts to promote MSMEs.
