We were invited to view the retail space and experience the store with Mr. Ratan Jaisinghania, Owner of My My Lingerie by our side. We were in for a personalised experience. It was refreshing to get a first look as the founder wanted us to see it. My-My store is the Complete Family Shop with a range of products for everyone. Your one stop need for all Occasions. The First My My store covers 8,500 area sq ft and is situated on Asarpota Chamber, Opp. Mirch Masala Restaurant, Chimanlal Girdharlal Road, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380009- a premium location with a popular shopping destination home to some of the city’s trendiest brands and boutiques which were launched in 1994. This store has around 57 staff members in total including cashiers.
When we asked the owner as to why he chose the name, ‘My-My’ for the store he said, “After Grazing through the dictionary I came across a word I fell in love with that is, ‘My’ which not only means mine or possession but has many meanings which struck a chord in my mind and stuck with me.”
Now reviewing The new My My store is situated on A, Safal Mondeal, Nr Rajpath Club, SG Highway, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380054– a beautiful prime reputed locality and a great place for a quality lifestyle. A two-floor store covering 21,000 area sq ft launched in 2014.
The Store entrance display has two mannequins dressed in ethnic wear. Inside the store, two mannequins pose side by side dressed in western wear along with clothes and accessories laid out on a platform in front of the mannequins. Cream walls and minimal shelving provide a neutral backdrop for product arrangements. Funky designed bulb lights are seen fixed from the ceiling in beautiful colours. Recessed Down Ceiling Spotlights provides a shining modern look. These are recessed inside of a ceiling with an internal down light fixed that is adjustable for the perfect orientation of bright light.
When you walk into the store, it should be no surprise that the owner means business and caters to the beauty crowd with the beauty section at first view to the cascading display of endless beauty products that leads you into a bright, glowing lingerie counter, it feels as if you’re walking into a store with centuries under its belt. Cosmetic brands such as Revlon, Lotus, Maybelline, Elizabeth Arden, Lakme, Colorbar and much more are available. The packaging of each product is just as gorgeous as the way it feels on the skin. You can try and test out the products and not worry about trial rooms being full as My My store has around 16 changing rooms for your convenience.
Charcoal grey stairs lead up to the first floor of the store. The retail space located under the stairs is used for stock products due to its long and narrow proportions. The architects used mirrors to visually alter the perspective of the store’s entrance making the area going up to the next floor largely bigger. The marble stretches out to the end of the store. Flooring across the majority of the store is polished. Central air conditioning surrounds the entire store.
Each area was designed to be distinguishable from one another, while still all complementing each other as a whole. The store is quite spacious and accommodates people passing through allowing them to browse through each category at their own pace. The store focuses on their creation which has distinct characteristics based on their functional requirements. The staff is very friendly, most of them women.
Both the retail stores sell cosmetics, lingerie, nightwear, fragrances, sportswear, winter wear, casuals, swimwear, handbags, women’s ethnic & western wear.
The products are neatly hung, stacked and on display, therefore, customers can easily preview what brand or type of product they plan on settling on. Each category has its own separate counter and department. Products are well displayed and not blocked thanks to proper placement.
Hand-pick through a great selection of perfumes from A-Z for Men and Women such as CK, Fogg, Park Avenue, Engage, Davidoff, Black Xs, Invictus, Antonio Banderas, Justin Bieber, Victoria Secret, Versace, Bvlgari, Hugo Boss, Burberry and much more. Customers may approach the sales counter and ask the representative to introduce you to the perfume for you may even test it.
Shop over 30 of the best bra designs from the best lingerie brands such as Enamor, Soie, Extra Life, Triumph, Latvian, Amante, Dazzle, Sherry, Little Lacy, Extra Life, Penny, Jockey, and much more. Bra styles such as wired, non-wired, padded, non-padded, racer back, low to medium coverage, high to full coverage, nursing bra, stick-on bra, strapless bra, minimiser bra, t-shirt bra, bralettes and much more are also purchasable. A rack of Bonjour socks is available too. Kids undergarments are available only under one brand, BodyCare.
